AM Gunners FC donate to the needy

FOUR local centres for special needs each received a $4,000 donation from AM Gunners FC last night in a ceremony held at the residence of Pehin Seri Haji Mohd Jaafar Haji Abdul Aziz, the club's deputy-chairman in Jerudong.
The donations were presented by the chairman of AM Gunners FC, Yang Teramat Mulia Paduka Seri Pengiran Muda Abdul Mateen Ibni Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Dipertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam.
Last night's donation was a part of AM Gunners FC's charitable programme to assist the needy and less fortunate people.
According to a Press release issued by the club, the donations for the Pengiran Muda Mahkota Al-Muhtadee Billah Fund for Orphans (Dana DPMM), Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam, the Centre for Children with Special Needs (Kaca) and the Society for the Management of Autism Related Issues in Training, Education and Resources (Smarter) were collected during a charity football match between AM Gunners FC and the Sports School in March.
The Sports School won the match 4-2, with all the goals coming in the second half of their game contested on March 22 at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium.
