Bunkface Bunk Anthems lyrics
Welcome to the bunk show,
Oohh...

Everybody,
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh...

Hey ho, hey ho,
Hey now,
[Chorus]
Don't stop,
Gonna make you understand up,
Try to make it to the top,

Bunkface Revolusi lyrics
Menjadi buntu
Arah yang ingin ku tuju
Rasa resahku kian celaru
Dengan ilham ku tempuh
Aku cuma mahukan
Bayangan resah ku akan hilang
Tapi keadaan memaksa
Menghadapi semua
Inikah revolusi
Atau hanya ilusi
Bagaikan mimpi jadi realiti
Rasional diriku, rasional dirimu
Penentu masa, masa depanku
Adakah masa menjadi punca
Diriku dalam dilema
Pernahkah anjakan paradikma
Susuli ku terima
Aku cuma mahukan
Bayangan resahku akan hilang
Tapi keadaan memaksa
Menghadapi semua
Inikah revolusi
Atau hanya ilusi
Bagaikan mimpi jadi realiti
Rasional diriku, rasional dirimu
Penentu masa, masa depanku
Revolusi, revolusi, revolusi, revolusi, revolusi
Inikah resvolusi
Atau hanya ilusi
Bagaikan mimpi jadi realiti
Rasional diriku, rasional dirimu
Penentu masa, masa depanku
Inikah revolusi,
Atau hanya ilusi bagaikan mimpi jadi realiti
Rasional diriku, rasional dirimu,
Penentu masa, masa depanku

Bahrain face Yemen, Thailand vs Singapore
Milan Macala's side were devastated after their 1-0 loss to New Zealand in the Asia-Oceania World Cup play-off on Saturday which deprived them of a place at the showpiece tournament. It was the second time they have fallen at the final hurdle, having lost to Trinidad and Tobago in the play-offs four years ago, and the 66-year-old Czech's job is on the line.
According to the Gulf News, a panel has been set up to investigate why they failed again, with the findings to be submitted to Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who will then decide what action to take. Macala has refused to comment since the game but knows nothing less than victory against Yemen on Wednesday will be tolerated.
Bahrain though are well-placed to make the 2011 Asian Cup finals in Qatar, with maximum points from two games. They jointly top Group A with Asian powerhouse Japan, who have played a game more and need to beat Hong Kong to keep up their challenge.
Japan coach Takeshi Okada has decided to take all five of his Europe-based players from Port Elizabeth to the Chinese territory after an uninspiring 0-0 away draw against South Africa on Saturday. This includes Shunsuke Nakamura, who has been struggling to establish himself in Espanyol's midfield.
"I care about the Japanese national team. I don't want to be made an exception. I must do what everybody else does," the 31-year-old told Japanese media.
Bryan Robson's Thailand, meanwhile, are on a high after beating Singapore 3-1 on Saturday and victory in the return leg in Bangkok will see them leapfrog Iran to top Group E. But the former England captain will be without goalkeeper Sinthaweechai Hathairattanakool and playmaker Natthaphong Samana, who are both suspended. There are also concerns that midfielder Surat Sukha may not be fit.
Robson told Thai media that although pleased with the win, he was not happy with their concentration levels which allowed Singapore to get a late goal. "The players have learned a lesson and must concentrate the full 90 minutes."
In the other group game, bottom-of-the-table Jordan play Iran on Sunday.
Elsewhere, China host Lebanon, having beaten them 2-0 in Beirut at the weekend to leave them second in Group D with six points.
Brunei eye top four finish in Bangkok
The coach of the team, who will compete in the Nov 30 tournament in Bangkok, yesterday said that his target was a top four finish.
"It would be a great achievement if we reach the semi-finals," said Liew when asked about his target.
"We reached the semi-finals in 2003 when the competition was held in China, so it is a realistic goal," he added.
The skipper of the national team that won the Malaysia Cup in 1999, Liew is certainly the right man to carry the Sultanate to the last four and has held the position of national junior team coach for the past few years.
But despite his experience, the Temburong native knows he has his work cut out for him.
"It will definitely be hard (to reach the semis) though because we will be up against strong teams such as China, South Korea, Thailand and defending champions Indonesia," he said.
"Compared to last year, it is all new faces in this year's squad," added the veteran footballer.
Employed by the Department of Co-Curriculum Education, Liew said that the team were made up of pupils from schools from across the country.
Except for Temburong, every district is represented.
Training at the Department of Co-Curriculum Education field in Gadong, Liew said that the team started preparing after May's Youth Sports Festival.
Champions of the football competition at the event, the National Schools Sports Council (MSSBD) have various players in the squad.
At least six of the players going to Bangkok also feature for DSTGroup Brunei Premier League (BPL) I and II clubs, with the Sports School having the same number of players in the team.
"They train everyday and work on their fitness in the morning," said Liew during an interview.
This will be Liew's second outing in Bangkok in the space of a year, the coach also in charge of the national Under-14 team that competed in the Asean Youth Football Cup in June.
Bruneian shines at World Cup
The 33-year-old Bruneian averaged 198.13 on the first day of the 45th QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup in Melaka, Malaysia, yesterday, and finished with a total of 1,585 pinfalls after the first block of eight games.
Finishing in the top half of the field, Ahmad Athery is now 43rd in the field of 87 players and is just ahead of Remy Ong Singapore's best player and one of Asia's leading bowlers.
Ahmad Athery will bowl another eight games today and tomorrow at the newly built 52-lane Melaka International Bowling Centre (MIBC) before the top 24 progress to the next round on Thursday.
National bowling coach Mike Griffith praised Ahmad Athery's performance but felt he could have done better.
"He had a solid performance but there were missed opportunities," said Griffith from Melaka.
"The lane conditions were surprisingly tough and not what we practised on during Sunday, so the scores were not as high as predicted.
"His last game was a 173, so if not for that he could have had an average of at least 200.
"He had two open frames in the last game which he should not have missed, and that cost him a finish ahead of his two idols," added the Australian.
Before he left for Melaka, Ahmad Athery said he was proud to be bowling with his idols Walter Ray Williams Jr of the United States and Paeng Nepomucino of the Philippines.
Recovering well from a fall during Saturday's unofficial practice, Ahmad Athery's finish yesterday was only 32 pinfalls away from Williams Jr and 41 from Nepomucino.
Griffith felt it could have been a different story though.
"After two games he was already ahead of Walter Ray," said Griffith, who has been in charge of the national team for the past four years.
"He was very nervous in the first three games and his palms were sweaty. He was struggling in his first two games but found his comfort zone after that and then came good."
Now only 85 pinfalls away from breaking the top-24, Griffith was confident Ahmad Athery could make up the numbers.
"His goal is a top-24 finish and a berth in the next round, and he can definitely do it," said Griffith.
"There are 16 games to go and he can easily make it up by improving by less than 10 pins each game," added the Melbourne native.
After the completion of 24 games on Wednesday, the competition will be cut to the top 24 men and women bowlers.
They will then go on to play a further eight games, and the field will be cut to eight bowlers after that, with the final to be contested on Sunday.
Aidil Adha on Nov 28
The first day of the month of Zulhijjah starts tomorrow, November 19, while the month of Zulkaedah will have 30 days.
Hari Raya Aidil Adha prayers will be held on November 28 in mosques nationwide beginning at 7.30am.
This was decided by the Syar'e judges and religious officers at the Ministry of Religious Affairs as well as officers from the Survey Department at the Ministry of Development based on the absence of the new moon for the month of Zulhijjah.
The sighting was made at several observatory points, including Bukit Shahbandar in Jerudong, Bukit Ambok and Bukit Agok in the Tutong District and Bukit Lumut in the Belait District.
In conjunction with the sighting of the new moon, the Ministry of Religious Affairs also organised a religious ceremony at the ministry's building in Jalan Menteri Besar attended by Pehin Jawatan Luar Pekerma Raja Dato Seri Utama Dr Ustaz Hj Md Zain Hj Serudin, Minister of Religious Affairs.
Also present were Deputy Religious Minister Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Hj Badaruddin Pengarah Dato Paduka Hj Othman, permanent secretaries, deputy permanent secretaries and the ministry's senior officers.
The event began with the recital of Quranic verses by Ustaz Yusairi Asbol from Tahfiz Al-Quran Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Institute, followed by mass recitation of salawat or praises for Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
'Heritage industries' to keep Kg Ayer afloat
The twin prongs of development for the floating village were identified by Marc Emile Shamma'a, national director of Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), one of the consultants involved in the Bandar Seri Begawan (BSB) Development Masterplan project.
The undertaking, spearheaded by principal consultant HOK Planning Group, hopes to formulate a blueprint to serve as guide for all development work in the capital over the next 30 years and beyond.
The masterplan is expected to be formulated by July next year.
Meanwhile, during a "visioning workshop" yesterday, aimed at generating ideas and collecting public input for the masterplan, ideas on how Kg Ayer as well as the rest of Bandar Seri Begawan should be developed were discussed.
During the workshop, Shamma'a explained how Kampong Ayer should leverage on handicraft-making and other traditional industries practised in the village, that is over 500 years old, not only to generate income for the residents there, but also to keep tourists flocking to Brunei's "Venice of the East".
He said that these traditional trades needed to be identified and focused upon commercially. "The water village has been around for more than 500 years. We need to find out what makes the 'heart of Bandar' beat," he said.
Shamma'a cited Venice as an example from which Kg Ayer could learn. Venice is renowned for its art of glass-blowing, where visitors pay to see the glass artisans at work and buy their unique creations.
"Tourists come to see the process and buy the product. They also bring back the stories that lie behind the making of the products," he said.
Whether it was boat-making or producing handicrafts, traditional Bruneian crafts needed to be promoted and preserved in the generations to come, he stressed.
Referring to such livelihoods as "heritage industries", Shamma'a said that the community would not only gain revenue from the products sold but also benefit from the tourists the village as an attraction in its own right would bring in.
He also suggested an incentive structure be introduced to keep the residents of Kg Ayer from migrating to the developing mainland and to keep the traditional arts alive.
Fear of these heritage industries becoming extinct, mainly due to the reluctance of the younger generation to take up traditional trades, is an ongoing concern in Brunei.
At present, courses on handicraft-making are taught and promoted at the Brunei Arts and Handicraft Training Centre, located on the mainland opposite the water village, where several private companies and individuals from all over Brunei also sell their Brunei handicrafts.
Study reveals rainforest riches
The discovery reflects Brunei's potential in research into micro-organisms, said Yasuhisa Tsurumi, manager for the Resource Development Division of the Nite Biotechnology Development Centre (NBDC). The centre is part of Japan's National Institute of Technology and Evaluation or Nite.
NBDC researchers are working with Brunei's Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources on a joint research study on forest micro-organisms under a 2007 Memorandum of Understanding.
Brunei has abundant untouched forests which hold huge potential in micro-organism research, and with the discovery, that potential has increased further, Tsurumi said.
Researchers revealed the discovery during a media briefing yesterday on the progress of the micro-organism exploration project at Brunei Forestry Centre in Sg Liang.
However, he said, even with this potential, it would take a long time to start anything as the project needed human capacity, experience and budget, the lack of which were restraints.
There is no telling how long the project would take, he added.
"A long period of time is needed to conduct research. Our research is only the first step in this project," he explained.
Asked why a long period of time is needed, Tsurumi explained that the collection and isolation process would take time. Time was also needed to separate the samples according to categories before a comparison could be made, and these processes would take three to four weeks.
The exploration was conducted at several sites in Rampayoh, Labi, and Berakas Forest Reserve from which a total of 13 soil samples and eight leaf samples as well as water samples were collected.
Only after analysing and identifying the samples would we know if any new micro-organisms have been discovered, he said.
"In December, we will compare, select and store the samples," he said, adding that this would be conducted from November 29 to December 18.
Discussions were still ongoing between the government and NBDC on whether the samples will be sent to Japan for further analysis and DNA sequencing for identification.
According to Tsurumi, the process has to be conducted in Japan because "We have the experts in DNA sequencing and analysis. We do not know what facilities Brunei has".
"We hope to bring the samples back. If decision is 'no', then the sample will stay here," he added.
Tsurumi is leading researchers in the micro-organism exploration project, a first for Brunei.
The first and foremost benefit from the research is the transfer of technology and capacity building, he said.
The project is part of a development programme and the joint research on forest micro-organisms is scheduled in the 2007 Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) under the Heart of Borneo project between the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources (MIPR) and NBDC.
In a previous report, the first secretary at the Japanese Embassy in Brunei, Hiroshi Okouchi, said that developing a micro-organism industry, or the application of micro-organisms in a variety of fields such as agriculture, forestry, food and medicine, could help Brunei in its goal of developing a more diversified economy less reliant on oil and gas.
The exploration of and research into micro-organisms has commercial value for its development and sale of products, royalties and patent rights.

Fire razes property worth $300,000
A MIDNIGHT fire that razed four shops in the capital on Friday night has resulted in estimated damage of over $300,000. Quick work from the authorities saw the blaze successfully put out after a 40-minute battle.
Responding to an emergency call received at midnight, 31 fire fighters from four different fire stations were able to limit the devastation to four shophouses. A report from the authorities estimate the damage to approximately $315,000 in total. The fire destroyed two shops of tailors and two convenience stores.
The destruction spread quickly as the entire structure consumed by fire was made entirely out of wood and zinc roofing. Fire and Rescue Department is yet to release the cause of the fire. The Brunei Times
Project for over 2000 houses launched
The project, located on a 465-hectare plot near the Meragang Sixth Form Centre, is being built under the new Kampung Tanah Jambu National Housing Scheme.
Housing Development Department Director Marzuke Hj Mohsin said that construction of the new houses is expected to be completed in 2012.
"This project, part of the Sultanate's 2007-2012 National Development Plan, is one of many projects under the housing development programme to produce more than 12,000 new housing units by 2012," he said during yesterday's ceremony.
Of the 2,136 housing units, 880 will be semi-detached and the remaining 1,256 houses will be terraced units. So far the department has allocated some 11,000 houses to deserving applicants.
"In accordance with the implementation of this housing area project, tenders have been open for Phase One since July 2009," Marzuke said. "The following two tenders, for Phase Two and Three, respectively, will be released by the end of October this year," added the director.
Marzuke also spoke of how the new housing project is relevant to the celebration of World Habitat Day 2009, this year celebrated on October 5. The day is celebrated each year on the first Monday in October.
Themed "Planning Our Urban Future" the celebration is held to increase awareness on the need to further improve city planning around the globe to cope with the challenges of the 21st century. According to the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), urban settlements in both developed and developing countries are increasingly feeling the effects of climate change, resource depletion, food insecurity, population growth and economic instability. "Unfortunately, current urban planning systems in many parts of the world are ill-equipped to deal with these major urban challenges of the 21st century and, to a large extent, have failed to acknowledge the need to meaningfully involve communities and other stakeholders in the planning of urban areas," says UN-Habitat website (www.unhabitat.org).
"This is why urban planning needs to be given a fresh focus starting on World Habitat Day 2009. After all, we know the problems, but we need to share the best solutions as efficiently and widely as possible by planning better and more sensitively for ourselves and our environment," they add. In addressing this global concern, the Development Minister said that global experts have agreed that the best way to overcome this was to ensure a more sustainable development of urban areas.
Marzuke added that the department was working on other initiatives to celebrate World Habitat 2009. "We will be organising the 2009 Habitex and Roadshow on October 26 to 31, while a 'bicyclethon' event is currently being planned on November 15," he said, adding that a walkathon and colouring competition are scheduled on December 20. Habitex is an exhibition organised by the department to showcase the latest products or technology in construction and engineering.
Maldives cabinet meets under sea in climate plea
President Mohamed Nasheed plunged first into the Indian Ocean followed by his ministers, all clad in scuba gear, for the nationally televised meeting in this archipelago known as an idyllic holiday getaway for the rich.
Nasheed and his deputy, Mohamed Waheed, and a dozen ministers sat behind tables arranged in a horseshoe at a depth of six metres and approved a resolution urging global action to cut carbon emissions.
Tropical reef fish swam among the ministers and the nation's red and green flag with white crescent moon was planted in the seabed behind Nasheed.
After surfacing, he called for the UN's climate summit in Copenhagen in December to forge a deal to reduce carbon emissions blamed for rising sea levels that experts say could swamp the Maldives by the century's end.
"We should come out of Copenhagen with a deal that will ensure that everyone will survive," said the 42-year-old president as he bobbed in the shimmering turquoise waters.
He said there was "less talk" during the half-hour underwater meeting, but he had managed to get more work done.
"The Maldives is a frontline state and what happens to us today will happen to others tomorrow," Nasheed said.
Asked how he felt about taking the cabinet for a splash, he replied they had all enjoyed the plunge into the clear, warm waters. "The president, vice president, and the cabinet signed a declaration calling for concerted global action on climate change, ahead of the UN climate conference," the president's office said in a statement.
The ministers signed the resolution, printed on a white board, using water-proof markers. They had taken diving lessons for the last two months and were accompanied by their trainers at the unprecedented underwater meeting off the islet of Girifushi.
The dive was the latest publicity stunt by the media-savvy Nasheed to focus world attention on climate change and its effects on the Maldives ahead of the Copenhagen meeting.
In 2007, the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change warned that an increase in sea levels of just 18 to 59 centimetres would make the country virtually uninhabitable by 2100. Nasheed, the archipelago's first democratically elected president, stunned the world last year when he announced he wanted to buy a homeland to relocate the threatened Maldives.

Button keeps calm as F1 title beckons
The Briton banked four points in Singapore at the weekend to move 15 points clear of Brazilian team mate Rubens Barrichello with three races remaining.
"People say that if I finish five points in front of Rubens I can win the championship," he said.
"I know that's a fact. But my aim is to win the world championship and I'm not going to take any unusual risks.
"I'm just going to drive like I have been and hopefully that will be enough."
Button also knows that scoring five more points than Barrichello is a tall order on current form. He has managed to do that only twice this season and not since winning the Turkish Grand Prix in June.
Button, winner of six of the first seven races of the season, will have to perform a balancing act, maintaining his push for the title but also keeping out of trouble.
Lewis Hamilton, the man he would replace as champion, reminded him in Singapore how he had blown a 17-point lead in the last two races of 2007 to lose the championship by a single point to Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen.
Even if the drivers' championship stays open, Brawn can become the only team to have won the title in their debut season.
The Mercedes-powered outfit are 42.5 points clear of Red Bull with just 36 left to be won after Japan, and Suzuka would be a great place to do it given the team's recent Honda ownership.
The pressure is on Red Bull to score seven points more than Brawn on Sunday to keep the battle going at least mathematically.
Barrichello is one of just three current drivers to have won at Suzuka, which is making its return to the calendar after the last two Japanese races were held at Fuji.
Raikkonen and Renault's Fernando Alonso, who looks certain to take the Finn's place at Ferrari next year with an announcement imminent, should both go well at one of their favourite fast circuits.
Hamilton, who won in Singapore, has never raced there but cannot wait to get to grips with one of the sport's great tracks.
"It feels like I've been waiting my whole life to race at Suzuka — so, as you can imagine, I'll be really excited when practice starts there on Friday morning," said the 24-year-old.
"Ever since I was a kid, I've raced Suzuka on computer games — and while it kind of gives you an idea of how the circuit goes, nothing can beat the real thing. It looks like a real driver's circuit," he added.
Toyota will also be doing their utmost to put on a show at the Honda-owned track, with their hopes boosted by Timo Glock's second place in Singapore despite continuing speculation about their future in the sport
113 dead as Pacific quake, tsunami, flatten villages
"We are getting reports of missing people in areas where damage is extensive on the south and southeast coasts," local journalist Jona Tuiletufuga said. "Entire villages have been wiped out."
Up to 70 villages stood in the way of the waves in the worst-hit area and each housed from 300-800 people, Tuiletufuga said.
Nine members of one family were killed in the village of Lalomanu on the south-east of Samoa, a relative said.
"My family own the Taufua Beach Fales and we have confirmation that nine members of our family have perished, four of them children and many more missing," the bereaved relative told Australia's public broadcaster.
"The tourists haven't been accounted for either."
Amateur video footage showed villages that had been completely obliterated, homes reduced to shards of metal and wood, while cars were stuck in treetops where they had been hurled by the force of the tsunami.
Samoa's deputy prime minister Misa Telefoni said his tiny country's tourism hotspot was "devastated" by the tsunami which left residents and holidaymakers with little time to flee.
"We've heard that most of the resorts are totally devastated on that side of the island. We've had a pretty grim picture painted of all that coast," he said.
Two of the country's most popular resorts, Sinalei Reef Resort and Coconuts Beach Resort, off the west coast of the main island of Upolu, had been hit hard, he told AAP.
Australia said at least two of its citizens, including a six-year-old girl, were dead while Seoul said two Koreans were also killed. One person from New Zealand was also feared dead.
Apia, capital of the independent state of Samoa and nearly 3,000km from Auckland in New Zealand, was evacuated as officials scrambled to get thousands of residents to higher ground.
Officials in American Samoa, about 100km from Samoa, said the death toll of 22 was expected to climb.
"It could take a week or so before we know the full extent," Michael Sala, Homeland Security director in American Samoa, said.
Waves around 25 feet high did most of the damage as they swept ashore about 20 minutes after the earthquake
75 dead in Indonesia quake
Large buildings including hospitals and hotels caved in, homes fell down and fires raged in the coastal city of Padang, home to nearly a million people, as communications and power remained cut hours after the 7.6-magnitude quake.
"Houses and buildings have collapsed, causing thousands of people to be trapped inside in the rubble," Health Ministry crisis centre head Rustam Pakaya told this agency, adding that a major city hospital was among the destroyed buildings.
Rescue teams and doctors had been sent overland and were expected to arrive in the city in about 10 hours, Pakaya said.
Confirming the death toll, Vice President Jusuf Kalla said there were grave concerns for thousands trapped under buckled buildings.
"The initial level is 75 but it's certain to be higher than that," Kalla told reporters.
Local media reported that panicked residents rushed from their homes during the quake, which struck off Sumatra's west coast at 5.16pm (6.16 pm in Brunei), 47km northwest of Padang.
"A number of hotels in Padang have been destroyed," Indonesian tsunami warning head Rahmat Triyono said, adding the agency did not release a tsunami alert.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Hawaii however issued a tsunami watch for Indonesia, Malaysia, India and Thailand, but later cancelled it.
"Up to now we haven't been able to reach Padang, communications have been cut," Triyono said.
The quake was felt in the capital Jakarta, 940km away, and sent frightened office workers streaming out of buildings in nearby Singapore and the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur.
"The shaking was the worst I had ever felt," Yuliarni, a resident of Pariaman district outside Padang, told TVOne news channel.
"Houses have collapsed, the lights and electricity were cut off... People were fleeing to higher ground and some were hurt," she said.
The quake caused a landslide that destroyed houses at Lake Maninjau inland from Padang, local resident Hafiz told the channel, and the airport was also closed for damage.
"Part of the roof of the arrival hall at the Padang airport collapsed but nobody was injured. The runway is okay. The airport has been closed but will reopen at 7am tomorrow," Hariyanto, an official of airport operator company Angkasa Pura II, said.
Geologists said Padang, which lies near the colliding Indo-Australian and Eurasian tectonic plates, was vulnerable to more quakes and tsunamis.

Brunei Darussalam established diplomatic ties with the People's Republic of China in 1991.
Brunei energy sector looks forward to global recovery
"We do hope that the worst of the crisis is over. What the prices (of oil) and the future hold for the oil and gas industry is hard to predict, but we are experiencing a positive increase in energy demand," said Hj Salleh Bostaman Hj Zainal Abidin, managing director of Brunei LNG, on the occasion of Brunei Shell Petroleum's 80th anniversary.
BLNG, which sources 90 per cent of its gas from BSP, will also be celebrating its 40 years of establishment.
"After 40 years of working closely with BSP, Brunei LNG values the relationship with BSP and looks forward to another 40 years and beyond," said Hj Salleh Bostaman.
BLNG remains optimistic that the global economy will recover, he said. "Should economic recovery happen, that will also mean an increase in energy demand, which we hope."
Global oil prices reached US$137.11 a barrel in the first week of July 2008 at the peak of the financial crisis. It dropped to US$34.57 a barrel in the first week of January this year. Recently world oil prices rose on the back of a weaker US dollar, as traders awaited the weekly energy inventories report and the latest reading on economic output in the United States, analysts said. Currently, the oil prices now stand at US$67.71 per barrel.
"BSP currently supplies 90 per cent of gas to BLNG and our collaboration has allowed us to deliver gas to Japan and Korea. We have a contract volume for 20 years but we also deliver contract volume and opportunities to spot markets (markets with no contract)," he said. "BSP's 80 years is a tremendous achievement with their collaboration with the government," he said.
Hj Salleh Bostaman added that future prospects for the workforce of Brunei LNG will be to maximise the contribution of the local workforce. "BLNG is 95 per cent Bruneian and we will continue to recruit capable Bruneians," he said. He added that the company is also encouraging Bruneian contractors to increase their Bruneian content.
"At the moment we are liaising with various local agencies to ask them to encourage local contractors who are working for BLNG to ensure this

Mercedes-Benz CLK is numero uno in customer satisfaction
In this study, the first place in the luxury class was taken by the Mercedes-Benz E-Class. At the same time the business saloon was given a silver award for outstanding test results by the motoring magazine Auto Test. Germany's most satisfied car drivers therefore sit at the wheel of a Mercedes-Benz.
Customers are the people who know a product best—this is the working principle of the globally active market research organisation J D Power, founded in 1968 and based in Los Angeles, which regularly examines the satisfaction levels of automobile owners.
For the 2009 J D Power Report, it conducted a first-time online survey of 16,425 car drivers in Germany to record their experiences with their car.
The respondents had to have owned their car for around two years and have covered around 30,000 kilometres with it. This meant that the experience gained over a total of almost 500 million kilometres could be assessed. The assessment criteria were quality/reliability, attractiveness, service and operating costs, enabling the strengths and weaknesses of the individual car models to be reliably recorded.
A 113 models divided into eight categories were considered in the 2009 report, which is seen as the definitive buyer's guide. First place in the overall ranking for all categories was taken by the Mercedes-Benz CLK, which also emerged the winner in the sports car ranking. In the luxury category, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class (211 series) prevailed against the opposition and took first place in this ranking.
The results of the J D Power study were also taken into account when the motoring publication Auto Test decided the winners of its 2009 awards.
The decisions were also based on more than 500 tests and buyer reports by the magazine, as well as reliability studies by TUV Rhineland and Eurotax Schwacke.

Mind Quest holds 'Sprint Maths'
"Sprint Maths" consists of Mathematics questions in which participants have to work in groups and race to complete the tasks given in order to win. All the questions given were based on exam questions and some of the questions need to be done practically. Each group need to figure out "Brain Teaser's Questions" before they can obtain the next questions and clues.
The activity was held during the school break. It was led by Muhd Khairul Hidayatullah Hj Basir, mathematics tutor and assisted by two other mathematics tutors, Nur Afidah Abd Malik and Dk Siti Ayunni Pg Duraman, and some MQ staffs.
The objectives of the activity were to make the students understand the know how of applying Mathematics in real life.
"The common problem faced by us is that, our students are giving up easily with the mathematical problems without first making an attempt. To our surprise, while the activity was running, we could see that all the participants worked so hard, helped among each other as a team and never gave up until they sort out the answers," said one of the tutors.
"This sort of attitude is what we as tutors want to see in their studies in order for them to get good grades. The initiative and hardwork from the students is a 'key' to success. We received an encouraging number of participants from both MQ students and non-MQ students of different levels."
MQ will be conducting two more interesting activities in the following month such as "One Minute Challenge" and "Are You Smarter than Sixth Graders?".

Travellers welcome Serasa to Menumbok car ferry service
"It is a good idea that it was introduced, as previously people who travelled to Kota Kinabalu (Sabah) by land, would have to drive longer,"said Nazim Bakar, a government servant, adding that drivers also have to rush to every single checkpoint in order to make it on time.
He said the car ferry operation could also save travellers from spending money to buy petrol.Security-wise, Nazim commented, "With all due respect, I'm not saying that driving on the road to our neighbouring country is dangerous, but at least for the first three hours of our journey, we're safe from any possible crimes." He said that he would definitely try the new car ferry service once it is operational.
"At least it saves time," said a private sector employee who preferred to be known as Atiq.
She said that based on the experience shared by her colleagues and family members, the drive to Sabah's capital, Kota Kinabalu, has always been tiring, thus the service would be of help to frequent land travellers.
She added that the new service would enable travellers to spend less of their travel budget on car petrol, since drivers are now provided with a "shortcut".
"I believe that it will give opportunities and open another alternative route for international tourists to come visit our country," she said.
Another local who preferred anonymity commented that the introduction of the new car ferry service was a good idea as she could now travel in shorter time.
She said that although she does not travel to Sabah by land on a regular basis, the new service has given her the incentive to do so. "It's good news for us Sabahans who are working here as well as it will enable us to return home more often," said an expatriate from Sabah, Amelly Coates, who has been working in Brunei for the past six years.
Amelly said that she could now go back to Sabah to visit her family members over the weekend more often than before. Previously she could only be able to travel home about seven times in a year. "The journey via ferry will definitely save more time," she said.
Scheduled to be operational some time in October this year, the ferry service, which is expected to boost regional tourism, would reduce travel time between Sabah and Brunei to two hours from seven to eight hours by land.
The car ferry terminal project was one of the projects under the National Development Plan which costs $1.7 million.

Results:Punk crushes Hardy’s dreams … again
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Just like he did at Extreme Rules, World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk crushed Jeff Hardy’s dreams of donning the Heavyweight Title. However on this night, it was a mere matter of inches that separated Hardy from gold. (PHOTOS)
Hardy thought he finally achieved what he had been scratching and clawing for when it appeared he had scored the pinfall over Punk. However, after closer inspection by the referee, it was determined Punk’s foot was under the bottom rope and was out of bounds.
Hardy was beyond frustrated.
After the action was restarted, Punk kicked the referee in the back, resulting in a disqualification. In one fell swoop Punk dropped the ref and crushed Hardy's hopes.
With Punk suffering from an apparent eye injury, did he mistakenly kick the ref thinking it was Jeff? Were Punk’s actions accidental or intentional?
After the match, as both Superstars exited the ring, Jeff Hardy went after Punk in complete and utter frustration. Hardy forced Punk into the ring, where he launched into a vicious assault. It took three referees to stop Hardy from his crazed attack. At one point, Hardy broke free and continued his attack on the champion. The melee ended when the crazed Hardy was finally corralled by the referees.
The night was the culmination of months of brooding frustration within Hardy.
The way in which Punk won at The Bash was just another example of the selfish behavior the champion has exhibited ever since Extreme Rules. (Extreme Rules recap)
At Extreme Rules, Jeff Hardy was triumphant over Edge in a career-threatening World Heavyweight Championship Ladder Match. But then, in the blink of an eye, it was all over when Punk cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on Hardy. (Extreme Rules photos)
Then, on Raw’s special 3-For-All, Punk put his title up against both Hardy & Edge in a Triple Threat Match. Hardy looked to once again close-in on victory over The Rated-R Superstar. However, Punk blocked Hardy’s path to glory, hurling him away from the win to cover Edge himself and retain the title. (Raw photos)
Will Punk’s win at The Bash crush Hardy’s spirits for good? How much longer will he persist in his hunt for gold? Will he ever give up?

Results:Has Miz Cena ‘nuff?
SACRAMENTO, Calif. - At The Bash, John Cena finally had his chance to shut up The Miz after his incessant verbal assaults over the last few weeks -- and Cena did so with a fury that the self-proclaimed “chick magnet” won’t soon forget. (PHOTOS)
Ever since being drafted to Raw, The Miz has seemed hell-bent on making a name for himself on Monday nights by destroying that of the former champ. The cocky Superstar even claimed several “victories” against Cena, making up his own fabricated winning streak.
Last Monday on Raw, the attitude adjuster had enough of The Miz’s antics, and declared that they would face each other at The Bash. However, later that night, the abrasive Raw Superstar got the last laugh when he cost Cena his match against Big Show, another one of the former champ’s rivals.
With that loss to The World’s Largest Athlete eating away at him since Monday, Cena entered the ring with a no-nonsense attitude ready to bring the fight to The Miz. Despite finding a way to wear down and control Cena on several occasions throughout the match, the Superstar hailing himself as the “future World Champion” was in dire straits once Cena regained control.
In the end, Cena nailed The Miz with a bone-jarring Attitude Adjustment, but wasn’t satisfied until he locked in the STF for the victory. Has the 12 Rounds Superstar heard the last of the self-proclaimed “chick magnet’s” verbal assaults? Or will this brutal beating only light a fire deeper in the gut of The Miz that will see him torment Cena that much more?
Results:Michelle McCool makes Divas history
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Michelle McCool permanently inked her name into WWE’s history books at The Bash. The sexy, smart and powerful Diva became the first ever to hold the Divas Championship and the Women’s Championship, the latter which she won by defeating Melina Sunday night. (PHOTOS)
With her sly student, Alicia Fox, in her corner, McCool battled the three-time Women’s Champion, Melina, in a viciously physical fight. The intense encounter was dominated by McCool, who targeted Melina’s left leg throughout the match. At one point, the mean-spirited McCool even trapped and battered Melina’s limb between the corner of the ring and the steel stairs, all the while smiling at her tortured opponent. And as Melina retaliated, every offensive move further damaged her own leg.
When Melina finally nearly pinned McCool at The Bash, Fox pulled her mentor’s leg onto the ropes when the official wasn’t watching. Melina countered, knocking the meddling Fox off her feet at ringside, but McCool returned the favor with a kick to Melina’s jaw, which she targeted in their previous match. Then, with another brutal Faithbreaker, McCool, who had become the first-ever Divas Champion back in 2008 at The Bash, made WWE history again when she defeated Melina to become Women’s Champion.
McCool had her eyes on Melina’s prize since she moved to SmackDown in the WWE Draft, but their rivalry became increasingly heated in the last month. Two weeks ago, Melina defeated Fox, but after the match, McCool attacked Melina and said she’d not only beat her at The Bash, but humiliate her. This past week on SmackDown, McCool & Fox met Melina & Gail Kim in tag team action. McCool viciously kicked Melina in the jaw, and followed it up with an unsportsmanlike knee to the face. The vicious beauty just smiled as she tormented Melina, and then defeated Kim with the Faithbreaker, gaining the momentum she needed just two days before she was to make WWE history at The Bash.
Now that McCool finally has the coveted Women’s Championship around her waist, she seems unstoppable. No other Diva has ever worn the Divas Championship and the Women’s Championship. But will Melina retaliate against her Friday night foe? Will any other Divas set their sights on McCool’s gold? Tune in to SmackDown every Friday night at 8/9 CT on MyNetwork TV.
Results:Surviving the Scramble
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — In WWE’s fourth-ever Championship Scramble Match, ECW Champion Tommy Dreamer overcame monumental odds at The Bash, defeating Christian, Jack Swagger, Finlay and Mark Henry to win the manic mat war and retain his cherished gold.
First held at Unforgiven 2008, the Championship Scramble Match is a unique contest with five participants and a 20-minute time limit. Two randomly selected competitors start the match with a new challenger entering every three minutes. If a Superstar scores a pinfall or submission, he is declared the unofficial champion until another Superstar scores a pinfall or submission. The last Superstar to earn a pinfall or submission within the allotted time is officially declared the ECW Champion.
This distinct stipulation clearly did not favor the champion. The fact that a competitor can win by pinning any Superstar meant Tommy Dreamer had a near-insurmountable 80 percent chance of losing his title. Still, if anyone’s adept at overcoming adversity, it’s The ECW Original.
Sunday’s chaotic Scramble kicked off with rivals Christian and Jack Swagger. The two ECW standouts slugged it out until Finlay joined the fray, followed by ECW Champion Tommy Dreamer and finally Mark Henry.
The Scramble Match quickly lived up to its name as Swagger became the first man to score a pinfall and was then pinned by Finlay. As the 20-minute mark neared, Dreamer was the reigning ECW Champion after pinning Christian. With the clock ticking, each competitor amped up their offense, struggling desperately to score the final fall. Dreamer, knowing he had the most to lose, took a defensive stance and fought off an endless barrage of pinfall attempts.
When the dust finally settled, Tommy Dreamer was still the ECW Champion.
Although Dreamer was victorious tonight, it does not mean Christian, Swagger, Finlay and Henry are done seeking the gold. With these four double-tough Superstars breathing down his neck, The ECW Original will certainly have his work cut out for him on Tuesday nights, but the champion wouldn’t have it any other way.
Results:The face of a champion
SACRAMENTO, Calif. - It was a match with everything at risk - honor, dignity, heritage, and championship gold -fused together into an intense battle of epic proportions. And when the smoke cleared, Rey Mysterio's mask proved to be Chris Jericho's downfall, as the Master of the 619 reigned supreme, securing his heritage and once more capturing the illustrious Intercontinental Championship. Match Photos
The collective eyes of the WWE Universe stood transfixed on the squared-circle from the opening bell, as the relentless Jericho forced Mysterio to endure an unrelenting physical and verbal attack while viciously trying to rip his mask from his face. Every time the high-octane Master of the 619 flew back into action, the first-ever Undisputed Champion was there to unleash further anguish. But when Jericho finally succeeded in his quest and held the mask high, he was stunned to discover that Mysterio was still wearing a second mask underneath. The proud luchador took full advantage of the distraction, hitting the 619 to snatch the gold from Jericho’s clutches.
Both men entered the ring with a personal stake in the prestigious realm of the Intercontinental Title. Mysterio has publicly associated its greatness with the iconic champions who have worn it in the past, voicing his sincere hope to one day be among the greatest Intercontinental Champions of all time. Chris Jericho leads all WWE Superstars in history, holding the championship a record nine times. Mysterio went into The Bash admitting that the only thing he is ashamed of is that the title is around Jericho’s waist.
The Bash marks the third time that the two premier Superstars have feverously locked horns for the coveted gold in the last two months. After Mysterio successfully defended his title at Judgment Day, Jericho roared back to rip Mysterio’s mask off at Extreme Rules as he was going for the 619. And before anyone could catch their breath, he quickly followed up to pin the stunned Superstar, taking his gold and his dignity in a flash.
Throughout their intense conflict, Jericho has charged his masked adversary with being the “ultimate hypocrite” and “hiding” behind a mask. The outspoken Superstar has insisted over and over again that Mysterio “panders” to the WWE Universe and claimed that he is a coward.
Mysterio has insisted that his iconic mask, as is tradition with luchadors, is his whole identity and immense source of pride to him, both personally and professionally. Week after week, Jericho has continued to exploit the important fact to win matches against Mysterio, threatening to expose Rey's face to the world permanently.
With ultimate risk comes ultimate reward. And after putting everything he cared about on the line at The Bash, Rey Mysterio stared adversity in the face and walked out a true champion.
Results:Uninvited guests
SACRAMENTO, Calif. - WWE Universe, meet your new Unified Tag Team Champions, Edge and Chris Jericho!
Yes, you read that correctly. And while your eyes are probably working just fine, there’s no way anyone, including you, could have seen this coming.
The title match had originally pitted Unified WWE Tag Team Champions Primo & Carlito against The Legacy, Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase. However, Edge hasn’t earned the moniker The Ultimate Opportunist for nothing. Having competed in every WWE pay-per-view in the past decade when he's been healthy, Edge wasn’t about to sit quietly on the sidelines for The Bash.
The Ultimate Opportunist barged into the office of SmackDown’s General Manager Theodore Long, happy to remind him of Mr. McMahon’s comments two nights prior, namely that Long was on probation and had better do something interesting at The Bash as if his job depended on it. When Edge strongly suggested that Long arrange for him to be included in the World Heavyweight Title Match, the GM balked and argued that Edge should have thought of his future before divorcing his wife, former Raw GM Vickie Guerrero.
Long’s resistance softened, however, after Mr. McMahon paid him a visit shortly afterward and reinforced the point he’d made just 48 hours before. With Mr. McMahon’s threat weighing on him, Long interrupted the Unified WWE Tag Team Championship match just as it was set to begin. He announced that the bout would instead be a Triple Threat Tag Team Match.
Much to the shock and chagrin of the competitors, Edge approached the ring accompanied by Jericho, who was likely still fuming after dropping the Intercontinental Title to Rey Mysterio earlier in the night. The two seemed prepared to work together much as they did in their victorious Rage in the Cage Match on SmackDown against Mysterio & Jeff Hardy. Once again, the unlikely allies worked in tandem to smother the hopes of their opponents to capture the coveted gold, both the WWE Tag Team Titles and the World Tag Team Titles.
While it’s worth noting that Edge and Jericho combined have tasted tag team gold on more than a dozen occasions, neither has shared a tag team title with the other. With each of these selfish Superstars invested in their own future, however, how much longer they’re able to work together to retain the Unified WWE Tag Team Titles is anybody’s guess. For the moment, however, seeing really is believing.
